Marc Perlman
Associate Attorney
“Going through an emotional family law matter is not easy, so I strive to provide every client with the attention that they deserve.”
Marc Perlman recognizes that every case he works on is unique and that each one requires thoughtful, creative solutions. The personal factor, combined with the satisfaction of overcoming the emotional and legal problems that arise during divorce and other family law matters, make this practice area particularly rewarding for Marc.
“I enjoy helping people navigate the legal system during a challenging period in their lives,” he explains.
Right from the start, during the first meeting with a client, Marc strives to form a relationship that will enable him to develop a strategy tailored to that client’s specific needs and goals. He knows that some cases involve intense conflict, complex issues, expert opinions, and extensive discovery.
While he is ready to dig in and fight vigorously for clients when necessary, he also sees the benefits that result when clients are able to reach an amicable agreement on contested issues. When parties involved are able to realistically understand their situation at the outset, they can reach an agreement without unnecessary delays, and that agreement is more likely to provide a satisfying resolution.
Marc has a keen eye for detail, and he works hard from the outset to gather all information that could have an impact on the issues that need to be addressed in a case. His attention to detail carries over into communication, where he responds quickly to questions and requests for information. He knows the stress that comes along with family law matters and tries to put worries to rest without delay.
Clients can reach out to him at any time with questions or concerns. He knows he can best serve their needs by listening attentively to gain a thorough understanding of their situation so he can create the best plan to move forward.
Marc earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Connecticut. While earning his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law, Marc focused on public interest law. He served the public as a Compliance Officer with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and a Civil Rights Investigator with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority. Then he realized that he could serve people in a more rewarding situation by working with them individually to help find resolutions to family law challenges.
A native of Peabody, Marc enjoys living and working on the North Shore. When he’s not serving clients, you might find him outside volunteering at the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary or playing tennis.
